About the role
Opontia is one of the fastest growing eCommerce companies in the Middle East, Turkey and CEE and we are on a mission to build the next-generation e-commerce house of brands. We build success stories with brands by acquiring and scaling high performing e-commerce businesses that operate on marketplaces, own websites and social platforms.
We are looking for Business Development Manager based in KSA with a strong network of e-commerce sellers in the Middle East. We are particularly interested in those who have experience in Home grown brands.
What are we looking for in a Business Development Manager
- Find and qualify home grown brands on e-commerce platforms like Noon, Amazon etc
- Build relationships with brand owner to facilitate collaboration and potential brand acquisition
- Promote Opontia through outreach calls, emails and other messaging to prospective partners
- Work with technical team to evolve our outbound prospecting strategy
What the ideal candidate looks like
- 2-3 years experience in a sales, business development, category or key accounts role.
- Previous experience with ecommerce marketplace in Middle East
- Member of Amazon or Noon’s ecommerce platforms’ seller groups and forums
- Very fluent in Arabic language
- Desire to work in high growth startup environment and deliver results consistently
